"My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Gentile Suite, Naples. The rooms were spotless with all amenities and the location in the heart of the Centro Storico was perfect. We loved the old building which was full of character. However the best thing was the host Eugenio - he couldn't have been more welcoming and ready to help us with every detail. In fact the first night he even got us a table at a lovely restaurant, showing us the way. We visited five major Italian cities during our 21-day trip...

"Central location with good access to the old town and to go to Pompeii and Sorrento."

"Staff in good contact before I arrived, arranged for me to drop my bags off early. Huge, clean room, although a bit spartan. Excellent location close to Arch. Museum and right at the entrance to the Rione Sanita area (which is very cool). Although it's very close to the Piazza Cavour, the room was quiet. Staff also helped get me a reliable, on-time taxi to the airport at 5:30 a.m., which was very much appreciated!"

"Very nice and polite staff. Convenient location, but no public transportation in close proximity. Good breakfast, but served in a very dark, small, and gloomy room. Amazing shower, but very sleepery floor. A lot of steps to get into hotel, no banisters, nobody offered help with a luggage. In front of the hotel are 4-5 benches where constantly are sitting very strange people. They look like bomges or alcoholics. Some of them eating, drinking alcohol, and smoking weed. Do not even think to walk...

The mattress was very uncomfortable, and we had one of the worst nights of sleep. The breakfast arrangement at a nearby café was also disappointing, as there was an unpleasant smell lingering from the night before. A small touch like providing water on arrival would have been appreciated, especially as only a minibar was...
