"Phillipe greeted us with warmth and kindness. Breakfast buffet was good and well maintained, supper buffet was often less maintained and rarely had food in all the food warmers and generally lacked dessert options other that gelatin like items. It was nice to have live music, pool table to meet with our friends after supper and a day of exploring the island. Rooms were clean however, the carpet is old, tired and some stains. "Front desk people so helpful. Arrived on l early flight, they found us a room to check into so we didn't have to wait. They also were able to let us use the garage parking spot before 3p and even after we checked out as it was available(they rent about 3 spots in a garage about 2 blocks away). Note-if you want to rent one of their parking spots make sure to tell them ahead. Also, after 11am the street is pedestrian only so if you arrive after that and have lots or big luggage it could be a pain...

"Beautiful property, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. The host was incredibly kind and offered great tips for exploring São Miguel. Perfect location to relax after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again."

"The Rock Guest House is a beautiful, well maintained facility. They served a wonderful continental breakfast and since we had to check out early, they provided us with a breakfast to go! Getting to the port was easy - just walk down the road. Going back was good exercise if you enjoy a gentle climb. We highly recommend it."

"Location is 20 minute walk to the centre square. A few great restaurants around within a ten minute walk. Lovely coastal walk across the road. Staff was super friendly and the whole check-in/out process was easy. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean."
