"The Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico was a great hotel to stay at for our first trip to Sao Miguel in the Azores. The hotel staff were all very helpful from arranging airport transportation for our arrival and departure to helping our group of 6 plan tours of the island. "Hotel is located almost right in the center of the city. Difficult to find initially as it is located on a "side street" for pedestrians but available for service vehicles and private cars for pick-up etc. Parking is on the street near the hotel about a 5 min. walk. Public parking is inexpensive (less than 1 Euro/hour) but only applicable from 08:00 to 19:00 . No limit on space occupation. "Great location by the water in povoacao. Free parking right outside. 5 min walk to a beautiful beach w a free swimming pool/shower access. And 2 min from a grocery store. Pleasantly surprised by the included breakfast- fruits, eggs, bacon, yogurt, a variety of bread, deli meat and cheese."
