"I rented three single rooms for my mother, my sister and I. The rooms are small. They’re just what you need. Everything is clean. They were comfortable little views of older buildings. I went with the option to include breakfast. It was a nice breakfast at a very reasonable price. Grateful to make the start of our day so easy. There is a pool we did not go because it started to rain. It looked very nice. Up the street and around the corner is the castle. It’s in a great location. It’s easy...

Would skip this place if you need AC otherwise it’s solid."

(we were on the 3rd floor to start, but were moved when I said my husband kept hitting his head on the low ceiling)however, there are washers and dryers on the 3 rd floor that I was welcome to use. We were given a room on the...

"The location of the guest house was excellent. Within walking distance of the University and old town, and with a variety of restaurants close by. It was surprisingly quiet for being located directly on a major road. We loved the Sabores da Romeira restaurant. Be warned—the portions are HUGE. Even the locals were taking home doggy bags. The room itself was adequate, but felt more like a hostel than a hotel. There was good security—the code for the front door was routinely changed, and there was...
