"Easy to get into the cottage and a cute stay! Great helpful information book for everything you might need."

"Room was a bit dusty staff were friendly and helpful"

"This is a fairly new property and this is reflected in the modern decor, and clean & smart set up. No staff on site but arrangements communicated beforehand in terms of property access and room key collection were faultless. Parking on site so no issues with proximity. We did not have breakfast (book and pay separately if required). River runs behind the property so soothing sound of running (nay rushing) water throughout. Only issue was the green light (fire regs ?) meant the room was not dark...

"This property was an unexpected gem! The property was well priced ,finishes ,were immaculate , The property is very clean .The layout of the room even allowed for a separate seating area just outside our bedroom. This property had no TV, but was not missed because of the level of Wi-Fi available. The house is in a country setting, so of course convenience to amenities such as shopping or food should not be considered. This is very quiet location and very much appreciated after long days of...

"A step-back-in-time and off-the-beaten-path small hotel with all the quintessential character, charm, and quality service you could hope for. The cooked-to-order breakfast was included in our stay and very tasty. Comfortable bed and great shower. This place is truly memorable in every way."

"Merveilleux"

"Hotel was very nicely laid out and staff friendly. Onsite parking provided, at a cost of £10 per day. It would have been nice if this was made clear at time of booking. Problem with TV. I had to fully reset and retune to enable it to operate. Reception staff did try, but were too busy (and probably under staffed) to spend time fixing. Suggest this is part of check list for hotel prior to new guests. Wi-Fi not the best managed to get 2 bars at best. Room noisy in morning as hotel is on busy...

"This was a centrally located bed and breakfast in a lovely old home. The room was very small and there was no desk or anywhere to sit other than one chair. The bathroom was well equipped and breakfast was good. I might have been the only guest so it was very quiet - but very convenient to the ferry terminal just 7 miles away."

"The facilities were great . Our room was the Hayloft and was fantastic . I would say more like a studio flat with our own kitchen dining and lounge areas . It was very relaxing such a lovely place overall. We chose to have breakfast in the cafe each morning and it was excellent. The staff were very helpful when it came to local eating out for evening meals and things to see and do . I definitely agree with others I would give it a 10 out of 10 and will be back"

"Lovely hotel in great location with nice restaurant and good breakfast options - recommend"

"Such a lovely property with an even lovelier couple running it. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Oban."

"Nice , quiet guest house in a beautifully scenic setting. A rocky beach and sea about 100 yards away."

"Good place to stay. It was clean and in a convenient location. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the sound proofing. I believe people may live above floor two and they stayed up walking around until after midnight. Wouldn’t be a problem at all except there is no sound proofing in the room I was in. Other than that a fantastic place to stay and would recommend."

"Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks...
