A Jewel to be Discovered
I was in awe of nature's lush green curtain comprising verdant rice terraces, palms, and tropical trees. This is the backdrop to Pondok's individual contemporary 'Joglu' rooms. It is a dizzying beauty that transfixes one's gaze. From the pictures it looked a wonder. For real it is transcendent. Perfect for a retreat. Perfect for rest and relaxation. Perfect to ponder in. And Perfect to wander in. The location requires one to be steady on foot, and reasonably fit. Otherwise one has all to be nourished by the environment. Pak Denik, the Manager was particularly welcoming, and the Front of House staff, Misses Yogi. The views are restful and remain in mind.

Nice valley view but deem swimming pool at night.
The valley view was amazing. The room is clean, and bed is comfy. The location is 30~40 mins from ubud city centre, but it gave a peaceful and quiet vibes, away from the big crowd. The villa provides free shuttle to ubud city centre (departure 10am and pick up 3pm) daily, or you can rent a motorbike to ubud city centre if you wish. The only downside was the swimming pool at night. The lights were insufficient so it looked dim overall. Not a good idea to swim after dark when you couldn't see what inside the pool at night.

Very friendly staff, reception extremely helpful. Beautiful location and very quiet. Excellent food and very attentive service. Unfortunately the bedding smelled a bit musty and the internet obviously limits the data volume. But we'll be back!

Nice hotel with excellent service. Room was nice, ample and comfortable with a great view to the rice fields. Hotel restaurant was great, all the food was of excellent quality and tasty, service was great. The Spa was perfect we got several Balinese massages which were perfect after a long day of walking. Hotel also arranges tours and transportation with local drivers, all of them were excellent, knowledgeable, friendly with great cars.

Needs maintenance
It is a nice hotel with friendly staff. However, the villa smelled badly of mold and there were signs of bold on the net around the bed. They need new bed sheets and towels as they are full of stains and holes.

Don't trust the photos
Wrong pictures for the room type. Staff were helpful at the hotel - E'dia NOT so. Failed to adequately follow through. First time that we have experienced this. First world problems but not remotely satisfied with the service. Left hundreds out of pocket and wishing that we booked elsewhere.

良い点: センスの好いインテリアに囲まれ、日常を忘れる滞在ができました。部屋から眺めるライステラスも素晴らしかったです。周辺には何もありませんが、ホテルのレストランで良い食事ができます。スタッフも皆さん素朴で笑顔ありました。 悪い点:部屋がカビ臭かったこと 一月の滞在でしたが、思ったより涼しく、体調を壊す者もいました。小さな子供連れには、プライベートプールも危ないばかりでオススメできませんが、大人だけなら素晴らしい設備と環境だと思います。 街まで車で40分かかりますが、素朴な風景が見られ、良いドライブになると思います。 ホテル内石段所々にあり、雨もよく降るので滑ります。 脚の弱い方は気をつけて下さい。

Getaway
Truly a beautiful place for a get away in Bali. If you like to be away from the bustle of the city & touristy crowds this is the place to unwind. The room had a traditional Balinese vibe to it with a beautiful view. They also had a pool, restaurant with free breakfast, yoga class, morning walking tours around the area & shuttle bus services. The place is a bit away from the city which you will need transport to get to but otherwise it is a great stay.

ウブドまでは、ホテルのシャトルで、１５分ほど、 目の前にライステラスが広がる 隠れ家的なビラ 新月の夜は蛍もたくさんみれます。 標高が高いので、雨期の暑い時期でも 夜はエアコン不要 とても快適です。（薄手の長袖を着てます。）

Charming, quiet resort with Wonderful staff
Stayed here for 5 nights and wishing we could have stayed longer. Right from the time we checked in, to when we left, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Although outside Ubud, their shuttle is efficient and included in the price. Location is is in the quiet countryside among rice paddies. We took bikes from the resort several times and biked through the area. Rooms are well appointed, and most equipped with a plunge pool. Restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices, and other services like laundry also readonably priced. Definitely a great option if you're looking for the authentic Balinese experience.

Ett unikt och spännande boende där man verkligen kommer till ro och får möjlighet att förmodligen bo på en av jordens mest unika platser. Mitt i en djungel vid en stor risodling. Det ända som hörs är djungelns läten (fåglar, ödlor, insekter, pårlande vatten). Fantastiskt! Bodde där med min fru och tre barn (5, 11 och 14 år).

magnificent Bali beauty
tucked in a quaint lil village , pondok Sebatu is a great escape from the polluted Ubud Central. Staff Yogi and Wid work with pride and respect; every meal from breakfast to dinner was cooked and presented beautifully-only a chef from 5* hotel can deliver this standard. excellent resort!

Our stay was wonderful in Pondok Sebatu Villa with rice field and quiet neighborhood around. The wifi is alright and the Indonesian breakfast was good as well. The Villa is small yet quiet and beautiful, which is very good for relax in a forest area.

素晴らしいバリの文化に触れる事が出来ました
高齢の母と5日間滞在させて頂きました。 お湯が出ないという口コミがあり、 夜に到着してお湯が出なかった時は、不安になりましたが、スタッフの方がすぐ直してくれました。ガスがプロパンなので切れていただけでした。 ラグジュアリーなホテルを希望される方には、 あまり向かないと思いますが、自然に囲まれた静かな環境を希望される方には、非常に良いです。団体客もいません。 素朴で古き良き日本を思い出されると思います。 お庭の手入れも行き届いていますし、スタッフの皆さんは、とても親切でした。 アクティビティの早朝ウォーキングは、おすすめです。棚田にアグン山を始めとした山々が映え、本当に美しいです。また、ガイドさんもセバツ村の方で、知識も豊富でヒンドゥー教についても、いろいろと教わりました。 初めてのバリ旅行でしたが、ここに滞在したからこそ、バリの文化に触れる事ができたのではないかと思います。 Yudiさん、Widiさん、Wagiさん、スタッフの皆さん、ありがとうございました。

Afslapning tæt på naturen
Der er utrolig smukt og det var en meget hyggelig hytte. Man følte virkelig at man kunne slappe af og var tæt på naturen. Personalet var meget søde, venlige og servicemindede, og ville gerne fortælle om alt man havde spørgsmål til. Maden på hotellet var rigtig lækker - pandekagerne til morgenmaden var gode. Shuttle-bussen fungerede rigtig fint, så man aldrig følte sig for langt væk fra Ubud, men alligevel var et roligt sted. Husk at sige hvornår du vil hentes, da de ikke automatisk kører derind, hvis de ikke ved du vil hentes. Wifi-signalet var dog ikke så stærkt på værelset, så du skal ikke forvente at kunne streame ting.

Dejligt sted i de smukkeste omgivelser!
Pondok Sebatu er placeret midt i den smukkeste natur og udsigten fra vores værelse/villa var enestående! Hvis man gerne vil bo lidt væk fra Ubuds trængsel, så er Pondok et dejligt sted. Det tog knap en halv time at køre ind til Ubud. Servicen var udmærket, men for at vi vil give hotellet 5 stjerner, så skal de altså lige oppe sig det sidste. 3 gange manglede vi toiletpapir, vores håndklæder blev ikke skiftet uden, vi bad dem om det, de løb tør for kaffe de sidste par dage, og tjenerens engelskkundskaber kunne godt forbedres en smule. Men når vi fortalte om et problem (koldt vand i et par dage, en pære var gået, håndklædeskift), så blev det til gengæld ordnet med det samme. Pondok Sebatu er en god base for udflugter nordpå - vi havde den skønnest vandretur til toppen af Mt. Batur og en cykeltur blandt rismarker og igennem små landsbyer - fantastisk!

perfect for relaxing
it was great stay in pondok sebatu. It takes around 30 minutes from ubud central. but they offer free shuttle to ubud central 3times in a day. room was pretty and small private pool was good. all staff were so kind. if you can drive bike, you can borrow motorbike in a hotel. there is calm area so you can enjoy driving wiht bike. highly recommand for relaxing.

バスタブはアリの巣みたいで、2ベットルームのプライベートプールビラでドライヤーもひと部屋にしかなくラウンドリーバックもひとつだけでお願いしても最後まで持ってこない。最悪なのは2部屋同時にシャワーをすると突然お湯が止まり、直ぐに言いに言ったのですが一緒に使うとガスの容量が無いから止まる２０分待ってもう一度やってみて下さいとの事でした。おかげで夫と友人は風邪をひきました。セフテイボックスもドチラも壊れて修理しても上手く行かずシャトルバスも出発時間の案内も無かったので別料金を払いました。山の中だからこそ何処にも行かなくていい様な居心地の良さとサービスを要求されると思います。この時期この値段も高いと思いました。ラウンドリー代もＲＰ２０００００以上取られました。同じ量で町では１０分の１でした。信じられません。

Beautiful Villa but far away from everything
My family and I had a great 7 days stay at the Villa. It's surrounded by beautiful rice paddies and bushes just like photos posted on the website. Staff were very nice, always smiling, patient , fast to respond when we needed help, a fantastic experience in general, except for a few issues needed to be mentioned. We booked a two bedroom Villa two months in advance,but when we checked in, we were allocated two single bedroom Villa with separate entrances. We are surprised to learn that the two bedroom Villa we booked was given to another couple. It was 10 PM , and after a long and tired dispute with the front desk and over the phone with the manager, we had to settle with moving back to our Villa next day, with a day tour and massage as compensation, with lack of explanation and an apology. Daily room cleanings were generally good but there was no unified standard applied; soap and toothpaste weren't replaced daily even when insufficient (had to be requested), and bins weren't emptied daily even when full (had to be requested).Used towel weren't always change . On the last day, though we left early before our use of the room was up, they did not even bother to change the towels as they thought it wasn't necessary, even after we had paid for a whole day's fee.we had to use the same towels which had been used the previous night . Hot water faulted twice over the duration of our stay. In one instance, the hot water stopped in the middle of showering.

Tranquility in rice fields
The villa was a bit difficult to find but once there it was like heaven after the business of Ubub and Kuta. The pools are beautiful. We had a look at the upper 'family' villas with frog pool. All I can say is 'wow'. The staff let us swim there one day as nobody was staying there. It was great. We stayed in the villas with no pool except the general one. It too was lovely and the proximity to the pool and restaurant was great. There were three shuttles into town and back per day with the he trip one way lasting about one hour. The drop off/on spot was very central and easy to access. The food at the hotel was great. We had wonderful ala carte breakfasts and dinners were well priced and tasty. Try the chicken tutu or the beef rengang. The surroundings are very agrarian and it was quite lovely walking amid the rice patties. We stayed 4 nights and were sad to leave.

Wonderful 2 bedrooms villa -private infinity pools
We loved everything, the villas, private infinity pools were so great (my boys love to swim in it), view of rice terrace and coconuts trees were so beautiful. the staff were wonderful and helpful, we met the lady owner ( who is nice). we went to visit rice farmers when harvesting time and we went for neighbourhood walk with guide provided by the hotel (free), it was great experience. It is a quite, peaceful place far from busy Ubud, 35 minutes from Ubud, shuttle car was provided by Pondok Sebatu Villa. The only things I find not so good, the food (fried rice/noodles, a bit too salty) and flies at the restaurants (the staff said it was because of the rain and fruit season, they had candles to keep the flies away).

ホテルの場所は分かりづらいのですが、環境はとても良いです。周囲には何もありませんが、レストランの料理は美味しいので問題ありません。スタッフも感じが良いです。ただ時々水道が出なくなったりすることはありましたが、自然の中で過ごしたい人にはおすすめのホテルです。

Hotelanlage in der wundervollen Natur eingebettet. Traumhafte Aussicht; freundliche, fröhliche und hilfsbereite Angestellte. Es wurde alles möglich gemacht. Die Zimmer sind aus Naturprodukte . Morgens wird man vom zwitschern der Vögel geweckt. Traumhafte Ruhe. Das Hotel liegt etwas fernab des Trubels von Ubud-es werden aber täglich mehrere kostenfreie Shuttles in die Stadt (und zurück) angeboten. Wij zijn al eerder op Bali geweest, maar dit hotel overtreft de rest. Het ligt super mooi tussen de rijstvelden en elke kamer heeft veel privacy. Het restaurant is heerlijk en de privezwembaden maken het echt uniek. Ook het personeel is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en heel erg bereid om bij alles te helpen. Wij hebben er een week met ons gezin gezeten (twee meiden van 10 en 12). Vanaf deze plek zijn we een paar keer in Ubud geweest, zijn we gaan snorkelen, hebben vele tempels bezocht en zijn we naar een olifantenpark geweest. De ochtendwandelingen die door het hotel worden aangeboden zijn ook meer dan de moeite waard. Als laatste is het ook zo bijzonder dat het zo rustig is. Onze eerdere ervaringen op het eiland waren dat er veel brommers rondreden en dat je dit erg goed hoort in je kamer. Maar in dit hotel is het stil en hoor je gewoon de vogels fluiten... heerlijk!!

Beautiful Villa with amazing view!!!
We spent 6 nights at Sebatu, and our stay from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. Staff from front of house and housekeeping) were attentive, friendly and were always willing to go the extra mile to enhance our stay. Especially Widi, who made sure we saw the best of Bali and ensured we had an authentic Balinese experience. He also made sure take us to places to get halal food during all of our outings. The afternoon tea offered by hotel was amazing and reflects the culture of Bali. We truly felt like part of their family by the time we left and we look forward to a return trip in the near future.

hotel stupendo in mezzo alla foresta
Ho soggiornato in questo hotel il 22settembre 2015, esperienza meravigliosa, si trova in mezzo alla foresta accompagnato dalla melodia degli animali, merita sicuramente una stella in piú. Hotel molto particolare dista da Ubud cira 30 m. Se scegliete la villa con una camera specificate all' hotel la posizione, sono tutte belle ma alcune hanno la piccola piscina privata a strapiombo sulla foresta e il fiume.

hôtel paradisiaque
Hôtel parfait... Le personnel est au petit soin, très souriant. Les chambres sont magnifiques. La vue des bungalows ou de la piscine est incroyablement belle (rizières en terrasses). Rien à dire, je le recommande vivement.
