"Positives - Good location for York; great showers and comfortable bed.
Negatives - only breakfast option is continental breakfast served in room, though room facilities to do this minimal. No communal space for a drink etc other than a small unwelcoming area between the front door and the reception hatch, which offered a very small range of self serve drinks.
More a place to sleep than a place to stay."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful but overall the hotel felt cramped and a little tired. There is no dining room, so breakfast offering is a grab and go bag but there are plenty of nice breakfast options in the area. The room was small and downstairs with a small window into a rear service yard, not the 4 star expected. The hotel entrance next to a phone shop was also not what we expected from the photos. Although accept that this is what you get from a central location."

"A very clean room with friendly staff and convenient albeit limited parking. Our issues came from the rail radiator in the bathroom not working as well as the bathroom being cold overall. The check in and check out processes were seamless."

"My Wife and I spent 2 nights here for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Mo and the team were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was pleasant and their knowledge of the local area was second to none. Highly recommended and we will definitely book our stay with them whenever we visit York."

"Parking was indeed easy. Ella at reception was friendly, charming and helpful. Adapted room was spot on to meeting Chris’s mobility needs. Fantastic view of Headingley ground from our room!🏏😁👍"

"clean room, but the shower was broken to begin with, but fixed after 20 minutes, and loud, drunk guest at 2 am one night, which kept me up for 3 hours, but I did not say anything at the time, with i would not want to deal with such people at 2 am, so can not blame them with just wanting to sleep at the time and did not do anything my self. "

"Booked an ensuite room but my room didn't have a bathroom and had to use the shared bathrooms. No staff was on site and had to call to check in. Opening the door to the room requires one hand to turn the electronic lock and the other hand to turn the doorknob. This is inconvenient when you're carrying stuff in your hand."
