We enjoyed our stay as a couple in the El Rey Moro Hotel Boutique, Sevilla, España, during September 2025. We found the placement of the hotel in the heart of the historical district of Sevilla to be convenient. All of the major sites in the historical district were accessible by foot from the El Rey Moro Hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel offered several attractive benefits for clients, to include a two-hour interval every afternoon during which coffee and Andalusian sweets were available at no cost.
The decor of our room was satisfactory. A spacious room safe was available for our use. We enjoyed the whimsical color choices in the porcelain-tiled bathroom. Access to our top-floor room was available by staircase or elevator.
Future guests should be aware that they will not be able to travel door-to-door by car or taxi from the local train station or airport directly to the El Rey Moro Hotel. The medieval passageways in the historical district preclude access by motor vehicle. However, the most frequently used drop-off site by local taxi should be Plaza de Santa Cruz, which affords a short, 5-minute walk to the front door of the hotel at Calle Reinoso, 8 (use Google Maps for direction, as signs are lacking).
Curiously, the hotel made little use of its open-air internal courtyard, except for breakfast service. This area could be re-decorated and enlivened with fresh greenery to become more inviting for guests.
