"From the moment we stepped out of our Didi van, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They attended to our needs with patience and care. The breakfast buffet offers ample selections of Eastern and Western palates. The room is practically an aromatherapy session for the senses, offering a choice of aroma incense or aroma wax. The views of the Bund, day or night, were awesome. There are a couple of good shopping centers within walking distance and a jogging track if you feel like it. A perfect place to wind down and relax after all the hard work."

"Hotel was decent, nothing special. Breakfast was ok - not fresh for sure. I was there for 1 week and it was the same everyday, I could tell it wasn't fresh. Only fresh thing was the guy making egg omelette. Surprisingly hardly anybody at the hotel spoke English. Very difficult to communicate, I didn't expect it as you would expect a high end hotel to. I personally wouldn't pay all that money to come here again, would rather pay less/half and go elsewhere. It was my 1st time in China/Shanghai. If I had of known it would be been like that then I would have rather stayed elsewhere and saved some money. As I've mentioned it wasn't anything special."

"The location is excellent, very close to the Huangpu River and major attractions, making it convenient for getting around. The hotel staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, our experience with the Grand Family Room was disappointing. The windows faced inward toward other rooms, so there was no natural light. This made the room feel quite dark, especially since the interior lighting was also very dim. We found the photos to be somewhat misleading in this regard, as we couldn’t realistically keep the curtains open. Additionally, the furnishings felt quite dated. The sofa was heavily worn, with peeling leather, and the bed frame showed clear signs of long-term use. While the hotel’s popularity is understandable given its prime location, it didn’t feel like a true 5-star experience compared to other properties in the area that I had stayed in."
