"Great experience but our only issue was that the sink was outside of the bathroom in the sleeping area other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was very good for what we paid for the room, 9 out of 10 just because of the wash hand basin location. "
"We stayed overnight while in route to a conference. The building was historical and very inviting. The grounds were beautifully scattered with flowers and greenery and very relaxing. The suite style bedroom was cozy, had an old New England Colonial charm and was a delightfully unexpected surprise! The on-site restaurant & tavern was a pleasing step back in time. The food was innovative and tasted fabulous..especially dessert! Service was friendly and exceptional! The evening's Irish musical entertainment was a memorable way to end a long day! We will definitely be returning again! Highly recommend this inn! "
"Unfortunately I didn't expect a great hotel but there was mold and mildew everywhere, the door didn’t close well, and the room was very musty. Service was terrible as the manager was the only employee and said was too busy to help. "
"The house and grounds are beautiful. They reminded us of a fine English country house. Sarah and Ryan are ideal B&B hosts; friendly but not intrusive. Cold wine, beer and soft drinks were available in for guests to help themselves, as well as tea and coffee.
We were attracted to the Howarth Suite with its whirlpool tub, and were not disappointed. It was large, full of beautiful and interesting things (as was the rest of the house), and the tub was easily big enough for two and worked very well. A very filling breakfast was served elegantly in a lovely room and included eggs freshly sourced from the property.
They haven't been doing this for many years, but they certainly are doing it right!"
