Friendly and compact city, easy walk to Division St, lots of bars etc. Sounds funny but we enjoyed a (20 min) walk to the cholera monument (circled in the photo showing view from our window). You walk all the way through train station, great view!

The Steel City has a lot to offer. More trees than people and beautiful countryside within easy reach. Quality pubs, eateries and entertainment. Culturally one of the top cities in the north of England.

An astonishing reflection of Englands development through the industrial revolution to today of being a modern and changing city - quite a long journey to go but evidence of both historical and current energy and commitment - quite a bit of rubbish

First time in Sheffield and stayed around 15-20 minute walking distance from the Station but found that to be pleasant, we were in the University area,visited the Peace Gardens, cafe's, shops, museums and Utilita Arena.We enjoyed it.

Set in lovely grounds so had a nice little walk in the morning- be warned it is quite uneven but worth it. It was surprising how leafy and rural it felt yet only being a stones throw away from town.

We live on outskirts of Sheffield so don't often go out at night there. Impressed with how the city is developing with new fashionable bars and restaurants
