"Halifax Hall is a cute hotel that was a university residence. It is made of this great stone. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We have had rooms in different parts of the hall on different occasions. Our last stay had a smaller room but a beautiful view overlooking a garden. Breakfast was fantastic with cook to order hot breakfast."

"Parked at the Novotel around the corner, yourparkingspace app was just under £12 for 24 hours. Body wash in the shower was empty, reception said they'd sort it. Minor niggle, but very nice well located hotel with very good spa facilities and friendly staff."

"Good location and great value. Breakfast was good value. Powdered eggs not great as tasteless, but that was the only negative there. Cleaner knocked the door just after 8am on first morning to see if we needed our room cleaned which was annoying as this could have been done later after we had headed out. Toilet door lock was broken. Overall was fine and would recommend."

"Nice clean room,"

"The hotel was in contact beforehand making certain aspects such as check in and parking clear. Upon arrival staff welcomed us and answered any questions we had calmly. The hotel was calm and relaxing. The room was spacious and as a famiy of 4 we enjoyed our overnight stay."

"Love this place so friendly and welcoming"

"Fantastic stay"

"Very basic breakfast and the coffee was awful!! There was a lot of building work going on and the gym/pool area was a building site. Pool was very run down which was a shame as that was a large part of the reason I chose that hotel."
