"Room was clean, and fit for purpose. Staff were helpful and breakfast was sufficient, albeit very limited. Air con, whilst dated, worked as intended and kept the room cool. A fairly utilitarian experience, but it does exactly what it says it will. Would stay there again if required."

"Lovely hotel with character. Breakfast was calm and quiet - just what was needed and filled us up for the day! Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. The lift was very small and made strange noises so not for those who don’t like them! Furniture/ air con etc in rooms does need updating but considering the heat we had an excellent night’s sleep"

"Stayed here numerous times and didn’t feel like our room was so good this time. We had room with free access to the 24/7 club room with drinks and snacks. However the night and next day the drinks all tasted like tonic water nothing had been changed or checked or had just been ignored. Not really any interaction with staff and just didn’t seem so special. Excellent location and it is a lovely hotel still and we would come again and hope next time would be more like the class we’ve previously...

"Quick check in. Very clean room, a little tired but kettle and lots of tea and coffee. Shower was good and lots of towels. Breakfast added to booking: excellent serving staff and the food was great. Lots of fruit and pasties. Cooked to items were quickly served and tasty."
