"Room was excellent with view of the racecourse - parking was adequate costing £5 per night but if your Hilton members then it’s free - I didn’t pay. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice both hot n cold. Only disappointing thing was the public toilets at reception - they were disgusting - obviously some people have no respect at all."

Though keep in mind it's an old building so the windows don't fully open, there's no AC and the fan they provide does absolutely nothing to cool you down...so with the warm weather be prepared to bake."

"Disappointing one night stop over. Its more of a business traveller, conference & private events venue than a country house hotel. Suite 15 is directly opposite the kitchen extractor fan which is on from before 5.00am until the kitchen closes at night & can easily be heard in the room. The room only had one bedside table & lamp, the glazed entrance is fitted with opaque glass & is the only window so there is no view. If you could see out you would be looking at the car park. "Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate."

"Had to wait nearly 30 minutes before they could get any key card to work Was only on the fourth room I managed to get in Not what you want at 1am when you've driven all day and need sleep before your next drive No compensation, no apology, just a shrug of the shoulders from staff, that clearly had seen this happen before Didn't even get a free cup of coffee next morning"

"Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for. Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."

"Have booked the victoria before , the family room, used to hear good reviews, but they appear to be islamaphobic. They charged me extra £50 deposit which was never the case pre-election. Also, my internet had stopped working nor did they include breakfast. Moreover, they tried taking an £20 deposit despite agreeing prior that they wouldnt charge extra if we checked out at 12pm. Let us see if they return the deposit. Also the floor was really filthy in the family room, it needed hovering. ...
