Khách sạn Shingu

"Excellent onsen and food"

"This room was incredibly cheap so I really shouldn't complain but I couldn't even use the air conditioning because it smelled so strongly of mildew. No one works in this hotel, so if many people are checking in there is only one kiosk it can be a bit of a nightmare. On the positive, you can use the shuttle bus from the main branch hotel on the corning which is actually very useful and was the highlight of this stay. If I could stay at the main hotel I think I would have enjoyed it, that...

"The Staff is super nice and helpful"

"A very friendly staff and wonderful dining experience in the Hotel's dining room."

"Sehr guter Onsen und Zimmer"

"Be very careful with your room choice! We stayed 2 nights here, the first night was in the main building and none of this applies because it was dreadful. We moved on the second night and the difference was night and day!"

"Surrounded by the sea, we could relax here. Very nice onsen too."

"The atmosphere was amazing. The property sits on a private island a short ferry ride from the port of Katsuura. Onsen was high quality."

"If I were booking here again I would not get the ocean view because, as nice as it is, it overlooks the docks, which can be very noisy. It's a floating dock and there's an attached piece to it so that can kind of move around depending on the strength of the waves and can be quite loud. The hotel staff were great. The food was very good. Being able to take the ferry and use the facilities at the sister hotel was very cool."
