"This is a newer hotel right next to the iconic Dogo Onsen building. Super easy to don a yukata (included use with room) and go to the Dogo original which has been recently restored to it’s prior glory, and the Dogo annex which features a cool projection system to bring the bath tile murals to life. Breakfast is a wonderful Japanese menu served at the sushi restaurant on the first floor. With the street car station, both Dogo and the rest of what Matsuyama has to offer is within reach. "

"It is a little far away from JR Matsuyama station, but it is reasonably near by of major tourists’ destinations such as Matsuyama castle and Dogo hot spring spa. Breakfast was excellent. "

"This hotel is best described as "tired". It has seen better days. In my room the carpet was dirty, the bathroom smelled strongly of mold, and the water gurgled slowly out of the sink. The sheet on my bed was torn in two places, and I wondered if it would last the scheduled three days without disintegrating. When my daughter went into the bathroom, she was greeted by a large insect on the floor. Personally, I would not stay there again."

"My stay at Lepo Chahal was fantastic in so many ways. The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and easy access to and from the airport. The hotel is located in the same building as a department store, which makes it incredibly convenient. You can simply take the elevator down to enjoy shopping or try unique Japanese gourmet desserts plus kids play area on literally one level below. The staff were amazing. We checked in on my daughter’s 5th birthday, and one of the staff members (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name. She also speaks Korean) prepared a gift for her and even decorated our breakfast table with birthday flowers. It was such a thoughtful surprise and we were truly touched. We booked two different room types, a Hollywood twin and a double room, and both were very clean and spacious. Everything felt comfortable and well-designed, including the in-room sauna, bathroom, and shower area. Without a doubt, we will definitely come back to this hotel when we visit Matsuyama again."
