"First, at the entrance to the building there were garbage all over the ground besides the garbage bin. Apparently, not all rooms get a TV that works coz ours didn’t work. The double bed was too small for 2 people and the mattress was so bad that we were bumping into each other in the middle coz it slopes toward the middle. It took at least 12 min for the shower to turn warm. Breakfast was awful: the scrambled egg was quite salty, the oatmeal was dry and mushed, and only big soup spoons, forks...

"We chose the Hotel Arts Kensington since it was within walkable distance to the peace bridge and local parks. What we found out when we got there was that the hotel is surrounded by construction so we ended up with an ok hotel at very high prices with construction around it. The breakfast was also basic at best. Hotel prices may be high in Calgary but we certainly did not get value from this stay. The room was nice but poorly lit."
