"Welcoming at reception and told about where things were very helpful and understanding Ron was clean and bright with out look onto canal my only niggle was WiFi in room not the best but great at reception and could not tv to work radio through tv ok but wanted to watch a bit of telly overall great place to stop food food and lot of welcoming staff"

"Hotel and rooms was lovely, but what let it down a little was the quality of food( except breakfast, that was lovely)The burger was a cheap patty, only grilled on one side and without any colour on the other, the pizza was average, kids fish finger were cheap frozen fish fingers, the wild mushroom risotto though was very nice. Hotel very good overall, but food quality and preparations lets it down a bit."

"The Good: The rooms are decor are decent, the breakfast was pretty good and it's centrally located in Shrewsbury. The Not Good: The water out of the hand sink tap in the room was boiling hot on one side and freezing cold on the other. The coffee was bad. But the real issue was it's a busy pub in a busy part of the high street and there was music blasting until 12pm on Saturday night, then after that a constant stream of young clubbers screaming and shouting right outside the window, until about 5am. So we couldn't get any sleep at all. It was a joke really. Not entirely the establishments fault, but it should have been clearer when booking and the staff weren't very sympathetic."

"Breakfast was cooked to order...but they just couldnt get it right...scrambled eggs when I asked for poached...two of everything even though I specifically asked for just one ...but then covered in mushrooms cooked in GRAVY!. Dinner had a very limited menu...but what they did have was ok...except when we asked for desert...we were told they were all frozen and would take hours to defrost. Why...when they had 13 of us booked for dinner did they not think to take desert orders in time for them to defrost. But worst of all one of my colleagues was in bed when someone burst into her room. The key to her room had just been given to another guest...without any checks as to if they had asked for the correct room key. My colleague was distraught...and scared...and the whole thing was not handled well. We will not be returning to this hotel...and cant recommend it. "
