"It is a very beautiful town, but the hotel is dated and didn’t feel clean. The heater would not turn off, so it was hot. It took a while for them to accommodate us. The restaurant on sight is excellent."

"Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Everything worked smoothly, the room was comfortable, and the overall experience was very positive. The only small point to mention is that the rooms can be quite a long walk from the reception and breakfast area. We happened to have one of the furthest rooms, which was a little inconvenient at times, especially with family/luggage. Other than that, everything met our expectations, and we had an enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again."

"I only stayed for two nights, but Castle Troy Hotel & Suites was wonderful from start to finish. I arrived during a very busy wedding weekend, and despite having what looked like a hundred things happening at once, every member of the staff I interacted with was warm, patient, attentive, and genuinely kind. I was in Limerick primarily to attend a concert at Thomond Park and probably asked far more questions than the average guest. Not once did I feel rushed. The staff gave thoughtful advice...

"Great friendly staff, willing to help and make the stay the best possible. Hotel was undergoing some renovations, a good thing, but did make unavailable some portions. The restaurant was excellent and the waitstaff was terrific. Room was clean and comfortable. The gym had mostly cardio equipment, some free weights and a universal machine. However it was stuffy and not air conditioned (making it smell more like a gym) and had no fan, making it uncomfortable to use, so I didn't stay long. ...

As for the accommodation, there is absolutely nothing to complain about: the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable for a good rest. "I cannot say enough about how good My stay was. Staff were by far the best I have ever seen. Hotel and the room were spotless. Every Morning I had a traditional Irish Breakfast which was delicious. Unfortunately, there was Heatwave when I arrived 30c which even for an American from New Jersey is Hot. I would have been and Idiot If I had expected air conditioning due to the fact temps like that are extremally rare and if they happen at all it would only be a few days every summer. But they did...

"My dad couldn’t stop raving about this place. He loved the build of the lodge hotel. Our toilet wasn’t working properly, and the manager came late at night to give us an upgrade. Such friendly staff, and Nelligan’s has a delicious menu!"

"The hotel was extremely busy which led to service being poor. There was a wedding the night we stayed which led to an obscene amount of noise, and not ideal since we were catching an 8 hour flight next day. Room cleanliness was okay, hairdryer did not work. The main public areas of the bar, restaurant were not very clean. Public bathrooms were also not clean but highly likely due to the high traffic."
