"Hotel is quite dark and old fashioned. Location is great. Staff at reception, bar and cleaning were excellent excellent. Problems at breakfast. Some staff were unhelpful. Selection of food was just okay. Quality was good. On one occasion I asked a member of staff when would tomatoes, beans, mushrooms ..."

"Beautiful grounds and a mixture of old and modern buildings. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Yorkshire sized portions in the restaurant, however, the menu was a bit limited. All and all the hotel was good value for money."
