"A smart, modern small block of apartments in as-new condition and with all modern conveniences. The location is central - within an easy stroll of many places to eat, shop and visit historic sites. The property managers / reception staff (three delightful young ladies) are very welcoming, friendly, eager to help and enthusiastic to share their local knowledge. The staff alone are worth at least five stars!"

"The place is beautiful, very tidy, we were so well received that we didn't even want to leave, it is located very close to the airport, which made it very easy to get there the next day, it is a little far from the center, but if you have a car you won't have any problems, there is also public transport very close and easy to use."

"The apartment is on the edge of a small but busy town. It backs on to beautiful clean water with views of the mainland and sunrise. Two brothers and their wives look after the guests, so there’s always someone around. Rooms are very spacious, very clean and comfortable. Aircon is extra, but we didn’t need it. "This one bedroom ground floor apartment was outstanding. Just one block into the pedestrian part of Old Town so easy for a taxi to drop us close. Directions from the host on finding the apartment and getting the key were excellent. The apartment was nicely furnished, very comfortable bed, roomy living/dining area, good kitchen and a big shower, strong shower. We didn't use the kitchen much (our first days in Greece we were loving the restaurants!) but it's lovely to have a coffee, a nice place...

"It was our second stay. Everything was good. Except 3 issues. There should be more cups etc. In the kitchen available. Second issue is wifi that most of the time is very poor or doesn't work at all and it needs some upgrade. And 3rd we decided not to use swimming pool this time, because it becomes basically public swimming pool. Entire neighborhood and people who doesn't stay at Avra coming to use the pool and when we arrived dog was swimming in the pool. It was quite discouraging to use the...

"While Gouvia is not much to write home about, this hotel and some excellent restaurants in town gave us a great experience. The hotel is lovely, very clean and the staff couldn't be nicer to their guests. It looks like it has been recently renovated extensively. We have found five swimming pools but wouldn't be surprised if there are more. Our room was very spacious and clean. Sheets and towels are changed every day. There is a small supermarket about a minute away from the hotel. Gouvia town...

"Beautiful hotel, can’t think of a single fault. amazing value for money, rooms are big, clean and comfy and have a lovely balcony space. the family who run the hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. it’s in a lovely location, just a short walk from the beach, gouvia centre and the marina. Bonus points for the hotel dogs snoopy and rosie! :)"

"The staff working there were so lovely and friendly, and really helpful. The apartment was great- clean, bright and spacious. Two great pools. Only a ten minute taxi to the old town. The main road near the hotel is sort of chaotic as a pedestrian but definitely avoidable during your stay. Would hugely recommend this lovely stay! "
