"The property has history and character"

"We checked into our room which was dated but okay. The floors felt dirty and wet. We settled in and decided to lake the best of it but when we climbed into bed the bedding was damp at our feet. We called the front desk who tried to help by bringing fresh bedding but when we went to change the sheets we discovered the foot of the mattress was soaked with who knows what!!! We asked to change rooms and they accommodated us with another room without a lake view but thankfully with a dry mattress. ...

Housekeeping was excellent and the staff were very helpful and attentive, while also being friendly and approachable from the desk to the restaurant and everywhere in between. The turndown service was a nice treat of a surprise as well. We would love to come and stay again."
