"The room was clean and quiet, the bed very comfortable. The breakfast looked excellent but one of us couldn't eat due to surgery rules and the other of us was too nervous to get food down. The location is central to so many options for shopping, eating, just hanging out. The price/value was great for the quality and convenience.
The only complaints: No bathroom exhaust fan so having to shower with door open. Only 2 towels, no extra for hair wash. No extra blanket in the cupboard so we had to have the heat set higher than usual. Finally, the printed TV guide was not accurate and we had looked forward to watching Pirate baseball to distract our minds from hospital next day and the "guide" didn't show the channel in the lineup. After missing first 4 innings, I took a "walk" through the channels and found the game on Channel 20 after all (which had showed as a Disney channel on the guide. Sadly, they lost the game, but we aren't fair weather fans and watch through good and bad.
Bottom line...if we were coming back to the area to stay, we would absolutely stay again!"
Extended Stay America Select Suites - Pittsburgh - Cranberry
2/10 Terrible
"This place was absolutely disgusting. Nobody working at front desk so there was a note saying to use the lobby phone to call. There was a note on the lobby phone that it isn't working so you have to use your personal phone to call. Then, after checking in, they tell you the elevator isn't working and we're on the 4th floor! Bad enough when you have kids, but having a senior citizen with mobility issues makes that even worse. The amount of garbage in the stairway and hallway was disgusting. The room itself was ok. Throughout the night, there were men in the hallway who were very loud making noises that sounded like they were trying to break into our room. This was terrifying for my daughter. The next morning, there were police cars in the parking lot arresting someone. I can only imagine what that was about. And, this was all in less than 10 hours."
"Very unpleasant encounter with incompetent clerks at the front desk . . . When we asked about the availability of an accessible room, we were not told the truth, and then we were charged for two rooms instead of one! "
"I enjoyed the pool immensely, but hot tub was down for repairs… the property is being worked on and it’s taking time, but looks good… the restaurant food was excellent and the breakfast was plentiful… I’d have no problem living there full-time…"
