"The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. "Room was clean and spacious. Pool was heaviliy clorinated. Breakfast was not well stocked. My family and others waited awhile for it to be restocked."

"We had a non-smoking room that smelled horrible of cigarette smoke with burn holes in the comforters. Stuff splattered on walls and toilet seat not completely clean. Staff was friendly, though. They came and mopped our floor with dirty water they had been using in all the other rooms. Would be a nice hotel if the rooms didn’t stink and they did a little better cleaning."

More than 24 hrs later called the front desk for an update but they were unable to supply any information. We were offered another room so we had to pack up and unpack again. Was told by staff member Bryson that we would receive a monetary compensation but we did not get anything for our inconvenience."

"The Hampton Inn McMinnville was an excellent host for my stay there along with 20 or so others. The breakfast bar (included) was fantastic with a great selection and quantity to choose from. We reserved a meeting room close to the breakfast area to set up our own area to relax as a group with a buffet and bar for drinks. The staff and especially the night manager were extremely accommodating and responsive to our group needs. The only issue I encountered in my room (201) was the bathroom sink...

"The property is generally nice for a simple short stay. It sometimes gets noisy and have some people smoking cigarettes and weed around the rooms, so that can get someone uncomfortable and to me it’s the major downside."

My only complaint is there is a good amount of noise from cars as the hotel is situated on the main road through the town. Also, if you’re driving a car and need to turn left onto the main road, it can be tricky due to the traffic traveling on the road in both directions and there’s no side exit from the parking lot onto a street with a stoplight or stop sign. "Very few dishes and only 1 fork. Had to stop at dollar tree and buy some glasses. Good ice maker and full size fridge. No housekeeping service for us since we were staying a week and I guess they don't come until you leave. Only 1 towel per person. My husband stopped by front desk and requested a couple new ones (our were soaked after multiple uses) but they didn't have any clean ones so they said they would bring some and never did.
