"Breakfast was ok"

"Older building but with visible renovations. Very quiet with friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. I didn’t consume any breakfast here as it was a continental breakfast and I prefer a fuller meal. Breakfast area/lobby also tidy. I always stay here when I’m in Hillsdale and will continue to do so."

"There was no wifi, the room smelled like an ashtray, the staff all congregated in the courtyard smoking so if you did open a window for fresh air you just had smoke coming in. . They seem to have a lot of issues and we're constantly calling the owner for help. I don't think we'll be staying there again"

"The hotel was poorly staffed. The breakfast was not fully stocked and all hot options were cold. The person working in the kitchen complained to us that staff was not showing up to work, and she didnt have enough help. Our room was ok, but it was not that clean. Bathroom floor was not cleaned and there was dirt on on the moldings. The bed was ok. We will look for another hotel near Lansing next time."

"The property itself is great. The staff was wonderful. The only problem was expedia has their room listings screwed up. I thought I had reserved a room with a separate bedroom since 1) pictures on expedia showed it that way, and 2) description on expedia said it had a separate bedroom. However, when I got there, the room that was actually booked was a Deluxe King, meaning just a larger room with a living area, but no separated living area with a door. "My room was clean and furnished nicely. The lobby and dining area were well kept. The hallways and stairways looked dirty and smelled badly. I could smell marijuana in the stairways and throughout the hallway. Need a covered smoking section near one entrance to keep people away from the entrances smoking. I gave it a try based on price but I won’t be returning there again."

"It was very clean and comfortable and relaxing! I love the style, design layout and all the decorations. The owner has really good taste! I was not sure where to park and there was no signs or directions for where to park. It’s all grass in front of the tiny cottage. There’s a driveway on the other side of the street in front of another neighborhood’s garage, but I guess can park there. Next door neighbor said I couldn’t park next door but can across the street. My son in law parked on the grass...

"Room was disgusting, had what looked like dried food an semen on bedding. No towels in room. Front office refused a refund after arguing about the cleanliness of room. Took an hour to get bedding changed after arguing with them. Would not recommend."
