"I booked several rooms for guests that came to visit form out-of-state. Luckily I stopped by the Inn prior to their arrival to make sure that all was in order for their check-in (I had prepaid the entire stay through Expedia). I was informed at the reception that for Chantico Inn, I should have booked directly with the Inn because Expedia charges are never sufficient. Expedia charged the nightly room fee, taxes, and a Property Fee of $75/room for each room. Chantico Inn demanded another $95/room...

"Overall the hotel is in an excellent shape. I like amenities and the room was very clean. The gentleman that help us at the desk was courteous. There was a Latina lady at the desk, she was not that courteous. I forgot something and the guy that clean my room call me to let me know. That was so nice from him. "Really nice motel. It was well appointed, the bathroom was very nice with a walkin shower, the bed was comfortable, and the property was quiet. Staff are super nice. Would highly recommend this place. Down the street from a few good food spots and a comfortable walk to the beach."

"An actual key was given. There were locks on the door, but one of them needed to be “pumped” so that we can unlocked the door. There were two TV’s in the room. One worked and another did not. The working TV seemed to froze a lot. Uncovered plastic cups were provided in the room. The bathroom does not have a fan and the window would not open. The floor seemed grimey. We had two beds, but we only used one. The bed was very unstable. The sheets seemed old and questionable. The walls were paper thin...

"We loved the location as we were able to walk downtown and to the beach. Also enjoyed the spacious room and comfy bed. Additionally the breakfast was impressive with an assortment of hot items (even had custom breakfast burritos) and fresh fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple)."

The location is perfect for walking to the many fun thrift stores, amazing restaurants and coffee shops and fun evening vibes of live music on the streets of Ventura."

"The rooms felt freshly renovated in this historic building. The staff was friendly and helpful. The back patio area was very inviting. Our room was spacious and had more amenities than I was expecting (like a tiny kitchenette area). I do wish the bed had more than two pillows on it. We arrived after hours so we didn’t have the ability to ask for more. Other than that, I would stay here again."

"Waypoint Ventura is a treat, to say the least. All the vintage trailers are beautifully appointed and restored. Plus, the whole vibe in the place is just fantastic. Easy walkability to great restaurants and breweries. Looking forward to my next stay and trying a different travel trailer next time."

"Pros We stayed in the room for 2 nights and came away with a great impression! The room and bathroom both had a fresh, recently renovated feel. On our second day, housekeeping even came by to make up the bed and refresh the towels. Fairly spacious, with a fridge and microwave included. Cons At one point we took the last spot in the parking lot, and another car arrived after us — not sure where they ended up parking... The soundproofing leaves something to be desired."
