"We picked this hotel because we wanted something quiet, away from our neighbors and on the ground floor since we brought our dog. Pros The property was small and quaint and appeared to be kept up nicely. It was not too far from Carlsbad which is where we spent most of our time. The little kitchenette was very useful for us. The check in process was quick and contactless (although they said they could have someone greet you if you'd like). Our only human contact was with the cleaning staff who were very nice. The room was clean and tidy. Cons Our room was not as quiet as we would have liked since it was on a busy street. Taking our dog out to do its business was a little problematic since there were no grassy areas close by. There was also a bad smell when running water down the bathroom sink. I would guess the sink plumbing needed to be cleaned out."

"I liked that they had different breakfast options everyday . I appreciated that they opened the pool and hot tub a little early when they saw my granddaughter out there ready to swim even though the gate was still locked. I told her we needed to wait, but the maintenance guy knew she was ready, so he let us in an hour early. He made a 3 year old very happy."
