"Nice clean room, quiet and very helpful staff. Beds were comfortable and we would stay here again. However, we do prefer on getaways having a pool and a hot tub available. Apparently this location used to have a pool but they took it out and put in a larger breakfast room! I don't know if that's the trend but it's not a trend I support. "Beds and suite mostly excellent. Staff were terrific. Cannot understand why a brand new Canadian facility would have such LOW TOILETS! Anyone over 6 foot tall or seniors who are somewhat inflexible - we are both - found it a long way down to sit on toilets built for a 10 yr old! Serious brain cramp at the design & build stage. Even much lower class hotels are smart enough to install adult height toilets during initial construction. We would stay again in a heartbeat but will not be doing so due...

"Our stay on the 11th of June was excellent. The room was nice and clean; linen was fresh but the only thing that I took notice was the pillows need to be up graded. They were flatten out from use over the yrs, so I’m saying that, new pillows should be purchased. A small thing but it surly would go a long way. Please look into it. The pillow makes the customer feel more rested and Satisfied with the stay"

"Hotel is old (cracked bathroom sink) and old carpets. But clean enough and comfortable beds. “Free Breakfast” was packaged muffins or a no name fruit cup - that’s it. One type of keurig coffee. Friendly staff. Small town, mid week, low occupancy so maybe $165 was a bit high."

"No muss; no fuss. Clean motel rooms on a tidy property with a pretty little pool. The owner and staff were positively wonderful – helpful, kind, friendly. I will definitely go back!"

"Blinds broke when I closed curtains. Curtains do not provide privacy from parking lot. Bedside lamp switch did not work. Toilet dripped constantly. Heater/AC sounds like 747 revving up. Bed comfortable enough. Free hot drinks and cookies. Adequate for single night stay, but overpriced for what you get. More like Hotel 8 in style. Outdated facility on its last legs. Staff friendly enough, but no one was around at checkout."

"Very nice property. Dated…but it fits the older vibe of the neighbourhood as a Western University property. Friendly and courteous staff. Room was clean and exactly what we needed for a one night stay. Gym is dated…and kinda out of the way, but effective if you need to exercise. Would recommend Spencer especially if you’re visiting the university."
