"We booked this hotel because it had a good price for the area and on the internet, it looks very charming. But, I know you are here for the real details so here we go.
When we checked in, they immediately told us the Wi-Fi is bad and they are trying to fix it. Do not believe this for a second. They have preprinted sheets with multiple Wi-Fi access points to try. Most of them don’t work.
Next, the room reeked of woodsmoke and there’s no way to open a window. There were three lamps in the room - none of them connected to the light switches by the door. It had the smallest TV possible.
The shower is an ADA disaster in the making. It was very difficult to get into and out of. The one safety bar was used as a towel rack.
The bed frame sounded worse than what you would expect to hear on the other side of the wall in a dive motel. Squeeked all night long at the slightest movement.
Breakfast in the morning consisted of the same food each morning - literally. Quiches, sausages and croissants were re-served each day of our stay. There also is a tavern on the property that is open on the weekends. Unfortunately we were there midweek.
All in all, this was an average stay but I don’t think I would stay here again for the above reasons. Staff was friendly, but this doesn’t overcome the multiple issues we had. "
