The Barn - Hostel

"My husband and I enjoyed our room at the Barn. It was very much over our budget but we booked late and there were few options for a room with a private bathroom in Vik. Despite the expense, we were happy with the size and cleanliness of the space. Our room was set in a seperate single-floor building with just a few units, so it was quiet and also had a lovely view of the surrounding hills. It looked like a newer building but was a little worn in areas - stained blinds, some worn paint and a loose sink faucet. This didn't affect our 1-night stay but could be a small area for improvement."

10/10 Excellent

"Exceeded my expectations. I had read some reviews that were not the greatest but I have to say we loved it!! The suite was clean and very spacious making it more like a studio rather than hotel room. There was a little sofa, table with two chairs and a little kitchen with stove, dishes, utensils, coffee maker with pods and even individual creamers in fridge. There is a back patio door with great views. After we checked in, we hung out in the main area, had a few drinks and played cards (like a lot of other guests). Bartender was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the food options. They only have pizza, wings and nuggets, but there is not much around to choose from so make sure you plan ahead. Also right next to black beach. All in all we wish we had stayed for more than one night."
