We enjoyed our stay. The daily breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean was a lovely way to start each day. The pool and beach area were lovely. We enjoyed the proximity to the local shops and restaurants.

Very good hotel with its own beach. However, I would assign only 3 stars to this property (not 4 stars). The furniture inside the room is not solid but rather on a cheap side. Bathroom needs some renovation. Shower-cabin is too small (for 4 stars). Air conditioning system on the balcony was leaking. There was a permanent problem with electricity (lamps, receptacles were not working sometimes).

Beautiful stay
We had a great experience at Hotel La Playa. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were also very well organized and clean. They have free breakfast which includes an abundance of choices. Choose wisely for your beach chairs because you keep the same ones for the whole stay.

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura diversi anni fa per questo l'ho scelta per un piccolo periodo di relax.La struttura in generale e' ben mantenuta,punto di forza la posizione diretta sul mare e sul proprio lido riservato (ottimo) bella la piscina,la terrazza con vista mare per la colazione e per le serate con cena ed intrattenimento x chi fosse interessato, buona anche la sala ristorante con affaccio sulla piscina.Personale della reception gentili e disponibili(ottimo il servizio check in on line), bravi e cortesi i ragazzi della mattina x la colazione e del bar (anche quello esterno fanno il max per soddisfare le richieste dei clienti) gentili e disponibili anche i ragazzi del ristorante nulla da eccepire.Ho mangiato e cenato al ristorante della struttura e tutto sommato non mi posso lamentare.La colazione e ottima c'e' di tutto x quanto riguarda il dolce, cornetti caldi, crostate, marnellatine e la mitica nutella(non si trova in tutte le strutture) frutta mentre x il salato nn ho approfondito xche nn interessato.Il caldo,caffe' cappuccino ecc vengono serviti al tavolo.Stanza con balcone con vista mare, per la pulizia nulla da eccepire, nn mi sono pero a fare le pulci,cmq armadio pulito con cuscino extra(bravi) balcone attrezzato,bagno pulito un piccolo grande neo purtroppo la doccia veramente piccola e l'Aspiratore un po' rumoroso.Parcheggio privato all'interno della struttura(ottimo). Ritornerò alla fine del mese insieme a mia moglie.

Ikke akkurat Grand Hotel.
Hotellet burde som så mange andre hotel virkelig ikke hete Grand Hotel. Det er det ikke! Det er rent og helt greit. Fin location nede på stranda. Baren ute stenger når du har lyst å sitte der å se på solnedgangen. Fra ca 16 til 18/19. Da jobber det ikke noen der. Baren inne så vi aldri noen i. Hyggelige folk, gratis parkering. Men overpriset i forhold til hva man får. Vi betalte 5800kr for 2 netter for 3 mannsrom. Vi hadde en veldig liten balkong som egentlig ikke var noen vits i å ha fordi det var ikke plass til alle 3 der ute på samme tid. Utsikten kan diskuteres! Ser havet men rett ned på en forfalt campingvogn i noen sin hage.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön gelegen , direkt am Sandstrand , auch der Ort Sperlonga ist nett, eine an einen steilen Berg gebaute Ortschaft mit süßen kleinen Gassen im „Ibiza-Style“ . Auch die äußere Hotelanlage ( Pool, Terrasse etc ) sind eigentlich in Ordnung. Das Problem liegt bei diesem Hotel meines Erachtens an einem Renovierungsstau und ich verstehe nicht, dass man aus dieser „Perle“ nicht mehr macht. Das Ambiente im Inneren ist geschmacklos und veraltet ebenso die Zimmer.. Alles vom Billigsten, kleinere Fernseher gibt es nicht.. Es gehört dringend modernisiert.. Auch das WLAN funktioniert in den Zimmern nicht, was in der heutigen Zeit nicht sein dürfte.. Das Frühstück wird auf der wirklich schönen ( wegen dem Ausblick, auch hier müsste renoviert werden) Außenterrasse eingenommen. Es war in Ordnung , wobei die herzhaften Gerichte ( Würstchen, Rührei etc) immer kalt waren. Auch würde für unsere Begriffe zu schnell ( 10 Uhr war Schluss ) abgeräumt..! Man hat doch Urlaub!! Abends gibt es ein Menü für 35 € pro Person, was uns als Familie zu teuer war. Es wird zudem im unteren innen gelegenen Speißesaal serviert. Warum man abends nichts zu essen zu einem normalen Preis auf der schönen Außenterrasse anbietet, ist mir ein Rätsel. Die Folge war, dass abends kein Mensch auf dieser Terrasse saß. Hier könnte das Hotel mehr verdienen mit einem vernünftigen Angebot. Aus diesem Hotel könnte man viel mehr machen.

Relaxing as hotel pool is next to the beach
Very easy to relax in this hotel as it’s siuated on the beach. Access to the beach is through the pool area. Lovely breakfast and stunning view of horizon from bar area overlooking the beach. Catalina makes a great G&T! Great place for a relaxing break !

虽然距离海滩很近，也有一个小小的私人沙滩，但房间内部设施太差劲了，整个房间的地面是地砖，有空调但没有开关和遥控器，毛巾有酸味，就连卫生纸都是劣质产品。不过早餐还不错！

Simple resort in the ocean
The hotel is on the ocean and was not busy at all due to time of year. Breakfast was included and had baked goods, yogurt, cereal, coffee,etc. They also had eggs and bacon but the eggs did not appeal to us as they appeared very wet scrambled and very fine almost like powdered eggs. Bacon was bacon but very salty. The also had cheese and cold ha. Beach was nice and clean with umbrella and sun beds included. We were able to order bottles of white wine from lobby bar and take it to the beach with an ice bucket. Beds we're to firm for our liking. Room was ok and clean. The showers are very small and tight. Difficult to manouver without accidentally hitting taps and changing temperature.

Room small but hotel quite spacious
Our room was small but perfectly adequate with a little balcony (with clothes drier) and an excellent shower in the bathroom. The hotel itself had big dining room, big reception, lots of big areas inside and out, on different levels beside and away from the pool, lots of loungers and tables and chairs, and of course direct access to the beach. You need never be bored being in one place. The only complaint we have is that breakfast is put out at 7 or 8am until 10 and the hot food is not kept hot, nor covered over. We went in quite late the first day to be confronted with cold scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, so went in an hour earlier the next day but it was just the same. I can enjoy a cold sausage or a hard boiled egg in a roll, but scrambled eggs, never. Needless to say the dishes just sat there mostly untouched, so the hotel will probably scrap the hot breakfast completely. It's a big classy hotel, so why they don't use the food heaters is beyond me. Even the hot water is not kept hot, so hopes of a cup of tea with tepid water is a non starter.

Position lovely but certainly NOT 4****
Restaurant food was terrible, certainly not good Italian food. No welcome tray in rooms. Had to ask at reception for someone to serve coffee or drinks in the bar. Ladies toilet by the pool with no light, no lock and dirty floor. No allocated sun loungers on the beach. But the main dissappointment was the food, we wonder what nationality the chef was !!! We have been in this business for many years and do not complain uneccessarily.. One instance the spaghetti carbonara was just a congealed mass of stuck together pasta.

Beautiful Beach, Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Town
Was a little nervous to be traveling to Sperlonga (solo) without knowing Italian but it was quite easy to get on the bus and find my hotel. Hotel is pretty much the last on the bus line but don't let that worry you - It's a quick walk into town and to the harbour. Walking into the hotel, the outside isn't much to look at, but the inside of the hotel took my breath away. Felt like a Caribbean paradise but in Italy. Check in was easy and the person checking me in's English was good - I was lucky. Rooms were bigger than many in Italy. Bed was just fine. Nothing to complain about in the room. The land the hotel is on is amazing. Pool and easy private beach access. It wasn't busy when I was there so I sat where I wanted but I'm sure there's some method to it during the busy season. Beach is nice, water is shallow but good to wade in. Only complaint was that it wasn't busy so the bars were closed but I just brought some wine and watched the incredible sunsets.

Bra det var fin beliggenhet for resten var relativt dårlig. Hotellet ligger perfekt til med både basseng og strand. Rommene var OK, men som resten av hotellet, tydelig utdatert. Dusjen var så liten at du knapt klarte å løfte armene for å vaske håret. Sengene var steinharde. Frokosten besto i sin helhet av veps - frukt og en hel del søtsaker. Altså det var så mye veps at jeg ikke orket å forsyne meg, og det var heller ikke noe særlig å spise i en sverm av veps. Lunsjen var dyr og ganske så kjedelig Området der man spiste var veldig fint ellers med bra utsikt. Det verste av alt var de sure folka som jobbet der. Aldri opplevd verre. Kan ikke skjønne hvorfor man jobber i servicebransjen når det virker som om folk er det verste man vet. Hun ene i resepsjonen med briller var så sur at jeg ble helt ukomfortabel. Hun var også mest opptatt av å gjøre alt annet mens man stod å ventet på å få hjelp. Gjøre alt annet innebærer da også å bli fikset på håret at det som må ha vært en yngre datter. Noe man ønsker på en ferie er å bli behandlet godt og bli verdsatt som gjest, man betaler jo faktisk for det! Så: nært stranden, finbeliggenhet med thats it! Bryr du deg overhodet ikke om folk er hyggelige eller ikke er dette hotellet OK. Vil du som meg og mitt reisefølge ikke føle seg uvelkomne, så ville jeg på det sterkeste anbefalt noe annet!

Great location, Sperlonga is the best place I've ever visited in the Lazio region, the neighborhood of Rome, La Playa has a great pool, a fantastic private beach, amazing view, the food to be in Italy is not superb, in Italy usually you can get better food quality almost everywhere, and the room are very simple and a little cheep as fornitures the bathroom was too small and didn't have cabinets It's ok in the Summer since you live outdoor and use the room just to sleeping Service was nice and gentle and the place very clean
