"It is a beautiful property recently renovated. Very comfortable bed with fine linen and fancy large bathroom. Large breakfast with mamy choices. Has nice roof terrace with comfortable sofas and see view. Good elevators. Convenient location on the east wall close to the bus stop connecting with the bus terminal (#106). We hope to come back."

"Great location near the castle Maniace at the end of the island. It was quiet and had great views of the harbor from the room. Breakfast included was excellent. Ortigia is relatively small so getting everywhere on foot was easy from this location. I would highly recommend this hotel. We were traveling as a family of four with two adult children. We all enjoyed our stay."

"This is a great boutique hotel in the middle of a busy little town. The location is great and the staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean and a nice continental breakfast. I would recommend this cute little Hotel if you’re planning to come here. This town is busy and loud until midnight so if you need to go to bed early, this town is active until late, then you can sleep!"

"Only thing about the property is that it states onsite parking and street parking. Both ore inaccurate. First off Ortegia does not allow car traffickers on its streets unless you are a resident, so street parking is a misconception. Secondly, we were informed that valet parking was available for 25 euros a night. The car will be taken to a video monitored parking location and would brought back to us when need ( 30-60 minute notice). This actually worked out great for us. But was an...

But, our research persuaded us that a boutique hotel on the Island of Ortigia was more in line with our standards and preferences. "Palazzo Del Sale is a gem. Giovanni was so welcoming and friendly, as were his staff and dog Gigi. At check in we were treated to a cappuchino before Giovanni helped us with our bags up to our room. The location of the hotel is perfect for easy walking around beautiful Ortigia. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and having the patio just outside our door an added bonus. I highly recommend the Palazzo Del Sale and look forward to visiting again. "
