"This property is wonderful.. it's out in the country. Probably 20 miles from Saracusa, And that is what the issue is: If you drive to the property, no problem at all. But if you take a taxi, be prepared to exist on only the breakfast that they offer. The breakfast is wonderful, no hot food, but everything else you could ask for in a bed and breakfast-tyoe breakfast. But there is no lunch or dinner available. So if you take a taxi you're going to have to be very imaginative about how to eat for...

The location is right in the heart of Ortigia and within a short walk of major attractions including Syracuse Cathedral, Fountain of Diana, and Castello Maniace. Driving and parking our car in Ortigia was difficult but it was expected for any historic old towns in Italy. "Everything was great. Just a few recommendations, turn up the heat on the eggs and bacon in the buffet slightly cold. Also turn up the heat on the coffee. Front desk, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Helped us set up multiple transports and made helpful recommendations."

"Palazzo Del Sale is a gem. Giovanni was so welcoming and friendly, as were his staff and dog Gigi. At check in we were treated to a cappuchino before Giovanni helped us with our bags up to our room. The location of the hotel is perfect for easy walking around beautiful Ortigia. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and having the patio just outside our door an added bonus. I highly recommend the Palazzo Del Sale and look forward to visiting again. "
