"The hotel and its staff were excellent. However, there was a major soccer game the evening that we stayed, and we were not able to park on the property, but had to park a mile away. The hotel staff said that they reached out through Expedia to send us at least two separate messages talking about the soccer game and that we would not have parking. We received two emails from Expedia, but no messages were actually relayed to let us know about the parking situation. If the hotel is going to reach...

"This place is in a great spot to get into the city. Staff was super helpful and nice and they held onto our luggage while we were waiting to catch a train. I’d stay again."

"The location was worth being recommended because we can take a bit of longer walk to the Princess Street from this hotel means you can save transportation fee for bus or other transportations from this hotel especially for the tourists (they usually walk a lot for one day). Moreover, excellent place from the airport stopping at Haymarket by the Tram. Old style hotel means in positive. Though the floors are bit narrow and cannot have access to the lift, this means people enjoy British classic...

"We could easily walk to nearby restaurants and public transportation. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere as well."

"The stay was great for the night, we got the private room, but no private bathrooms available. The private rooms do get there own toilets and showers separately from the dorm rooms. There was an odd smell near the one male showers but we just avoided that area entirely"

"Le logement est très bien situé, à proximité de la station de tramway Haymarket, près de Dean Village et Princes street. Il est dans une rue calme. Il y a en effet beaucoup d'escaliers dès l'entrée pour arriver aux chambres du haut ! La literie était confortable et la kitchenette appréciable (vaisselle minimale, pas de torchon, sel, huile etc). Il faisait très chaud (chambre sous les toits) quand nous y étions, 28 degrés la nuit, et pas moyen d'ouvrir en grand la fenêtre, ni de la maintenir...

"The most annoying feature of this stay was that there was no staff whatsoever in the property. So checking in, getting in to the premises, finding the key and accessing the bedroom was stressful and a nightmare. No one answered the phone and my message informing the property owners of my arrival was not answered. There was also no cleaning or changing of bedding during the stay, even after the ‘clean my room’ sign was left on the door handle. Not recommended, even though the bedroom was OK."
