"This is an amazing affordable home to stay at. It’s very clean and the room was perfect for us. We had no problems checking in, reserved online and took only a couple minutes to get our room card. The desk clerk whose name was Prince was incredible! Absolutely great service, greeted us with a smile and was very nice. He made us feel welcomed and anything we needed, he was very quick to help us. We will definitely be coming back here every time we come and visit family again."

"Great location. Plenty of parking. Check in time of 4pm is a little late, and check out time of 10am is a little too early. The front desk attendants were very pleasant and welcoming, although not always available at the desk (didn't bother us though). The room was spacious and very clean. "It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter.
