"We loved our stay at Hôtel Au Charme Rabelaisien in Amboise. Jaques was so accommodating, he helped coordinate the pick up of our rental car, with dinner suggestions and reservations. The hotel is so central. Amboise is a charming town to walk and explore. Be sure to include their breakfast. It is fabulous and a great way to start each day!"

"Well located in Amboise. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting the Loire. We had a studio so didn’t take the breakfast option. Parking is paid per day. On arrival it took us a little time to locate the road - it’s quite a narrow 1 way street, though that’s not unusual in Amboise! So best to check your route before arrival. We always found a parking space when arriving but it was not peak season - I suspect it might be trickier in high season when the place is full. Plenty of Restaraunts...

"Olivier was an exceptional host! Incredibly welcoming, gave us a tour of the hotel and our rooms, called the restaurant to make dinner reservations for us that evening and gave us several other recommendations. Poppy (dog) was so sweet, my wife wanted to take him home with us. The rooms were HUGE and perfectly decorated. I only wish we set aside time to walk the grounds / park across the road/stream. This by far was our favorite stay in all of France! We highly recommend! "

"The room was very cold. We told the desk but nothing happened. I had to sleep far away from the window which was wet with moisture all over. I had to wear my parka to sleep. What a terrible nightmare!! I don’t go back to that hotel. "

"La chambre pas terrible mais je m’en doutais car chambre 3 lits . Petit inconvénient dans les toilettes pas de brosse nettoyage cuvette . Mais le pire C’est le petit petit déjeuner qui ne comportait que des produits sucrés et pas de charcuterie etc L’hôtel est assez loin de la ville pour y aller à pied et en plus grande dénivellation Personnel Ok "

"Lovely stay in a beautiful, historic chateau! The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was lovely, and we felt like we were stepping back in time! Breakfast was a lovely way to start every morning before heading out to explore the beautiful Loire Valley. Highly recommended!"

"The room was very cold - lovely large size but difficult to heat in the winter. Good location. Unfortunately the restaurant was also closed in early December but the nearby town of Amboise was lovely."
