"Lovely place, and very nice owners. Great rooms and beds. The pool was fun, and the hot tub very nice. And the breakfast was fantastic. The only thing to be aware of is that if you don't have a car it's hard to get to (taxis are hard to come by in Amboise), and a decent walk from downtown Amboise."

Limited dining options but we tried two restaurants nearby and they both exceed our expectations. Remember to reserve tables as they can go quickly especially during school holidays. Hugh recommend! "The cave room at the chateau is fantastic. Besides a couple of spiderwebs and some steep steps, it is truly a find in the Loire valley. Excellent space, oasis of rest, great sauna, even better hot tub!"

"Facilities were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in November so it was low season and there was nobody else around to be seen. Bedspread had a large rip. Bed was, however, comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. "

"The turret room was exceptional. We felt like medieval royalty. Olivier and his staff were so welcoming. We had a lovely breakfast in front of the fire and were given a personal tour of the old aquarium cave and the new sauna and spa rooms. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip to France. The only thing missing was some sunshine."

The room was clean and perfect for our overnight stay. We weren’t aware that the only access to the rooms on the first floor is up and outside stone staircase - not ideal in the wet. The car park is small but manageable even with large vehicles. We’d happily return "
