"We are delighted with this hotel and its staff. In a quiet location on the University of Edinburgh campus, yet only about a 30 minute walk or inexpensive cab ride to the Royal Mile. Breakfast was very good and allowed us to skip the time and expense of having lunch. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet oasis at the end of a busy day. "

"Clean room to begin win but unfortunately the housekeeping was not the best as we stayed 3 nights and the room was never hoovered in that time. Granted we got fresh towels, teabags got missed but I was able to pick up some from the staff downstairs. All staff very helpful and welcoming."

"The location is perfect, right near Arthur’s seat and easy access into the main centre (via bus or a 25 min walk). The staff were so kind and helpful with anything that we needed and the breakfast is a must! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, but the staff made the experience 10/10. We will definitely be coming back, we felt welcomed upon arrival and the free parking is a bonus! Absolutely exceptional."

"We loved the hotel. The location was convenient. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. Two minor complaints: 1 - the room was too dark. Definitely needed more lighting; and 2 - our drain in the shower kept filling up and we had to turn the shower off so that it wouldn’t overflow. Would definitely stay there again. "
