"This is actually a beautiful building. The rooms of especially the bathrooms that they are advertising with Jacuzzi tubs are extremely overdue for renovation. There is paint and tile chipping all over the place in the bathroom and Jacuzzi tub. The sheets had those are yellow stains on them if you know what I’m talking about it looks good from the outside. It’s a different world on the inside."

"We were at the Holiday Inn Express in Poughkeepsie probably for the last time attending our daughter's graduation. The location was terrific to come and go to Vassar and the restaurants and stores along route 9. Plenty of parking. The rooms were comfortable and ready. The breakfast is done as well as the type of hotel can do - there was even some variety between the mornings."

"The room was freezing cold for about a half hour when we got there but the heater worked well and eventually it warmed up. Room was large and clean. Parking was right in front of room. Wish the room had a full length mirror. People travel when they have an event to go to and we like to see how we look. The bathroom mirror sort of tilts down for a bit of an outfit check but a full length would have been great. Bed was comfortable and bedding was really nice! Guy who runs the place was very nice!...

"A gem of a place. Clean and well maintained. The desk clerk provided a very good suggestion for dinner which was close but we did not know about. Breakfast was better than at most hotels. We would gladly stay there again."

At exactly 11:03 someone was knocking on the door hustling us to check out, F U Parking lot had huge potholes and debris all over the place.Interior needs an upgrade as it looks firmly in backrooms 1993.Look elsewhere to get ripped of for substandard "Quality""

"The entry to the bed and breakfast was through the owner's residence. The state of the entry probably should have given a clue about the cleanliness of the rooms. The floors in the hallway looked as though they hadn't seen a vacuum in a year. Layers of dust on the furniture in the room, and floors that were not cleaned prior to my arrival. The shared bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the shower curtain was covered in pink mold. An old used facecloth hung inside the shower. I made this reservation...

"I used to stay in it when it was the holiday house which was a purely 50s motel. it’s been bought and refurbished and renamed the brooks. The rooms are still not very big but the beds are comfortable and I don’t spend a lot of time at the hotel when I’m in Hillsdale. there was a coffee maker that made delicious coffee and there is room for my small dog and his crate. "The breakfast every morning was wonderful with a great variety to choose from. The staff couldn’t be any more friendly, accommodating, and welcoming! The pool looked very inviting, however it was too cool out and or raining. Hopefully next time… there will definitely be a next time!"
