"Beds were clean. Room was dated. Carpet was worn, but clean. Shower curtain was stained. Frig is powered by a light switch that took us a while to figure out. Plug in by window only worked on the top plug. Outside garbage, by front entry was overflowing. Trash scattered around front grounds, along with cigarette butts. Leaves & debris along walk and drive. We walked around side to see the lake and there was trash, cigarette butts, beer cans, etc around side and back of hotel. At the back was a patio that had not been maintained. Lights were missing, furniture was broken, patio was covered in debris & trash. It was quite evident this area was not maintained regularly. We went back through the pool area to main lobby..the hottub was non functioning, with police tape around it. The pool did not have any movement, so unsure if their was any type of filtration being used. The room itself was tidy, but very hot & humid...their appeared to be no fan working. The 3-11 lady was AWESOME!!! VERY FRIENDLY!! The 7-3 lady seemed confused or dis-interested when I informed her there was a dead pigeon laying at side of hotel in the mulch. It suited our need for the night (a clean bed), but would not recommend if you want more than that."
"This is the best motel to stay in Vidalia Georgia. It's always clean, breakfast is always great, staff is always professional and helpful and it's a IHG property. It's the only place I stay when I go there."
"There was no one at the front desk upon check in. A sign indicated to please ring bell for service. Which I did, then waited over 5 minutes with no one to check us in.
After driving for over 5 hours, I just wanted to check in and relax. I finally had to call the hotel to get someone to come and check me in. "
"It was ok. The rooms are dated. The carpet needs to be cleaned. Parking was good. The pool needed to be cleaned. The rooms could use an upgrade. The front desk staff is always nice but the cleaning lady not as much. I mean it don’t cost anything to say Good Morning. "
"I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and would not recommend staying here.
From the moment I entered the room, there was an unpleasant odor. it did not smell clean or fresh at all. The issues continued throughout the room. The shower had a strong, foul smell, similar to a wet dog. The refrigerator was dusty and visibly dirty, and the microwave had not been properly cleaned. Even the “Do Not Disturb” sign was dirty, which speaks volumes about the level of housekeeping.
There were roaches in the room, which is completely unacceptable. The phone was also filthy, with an oily residue as if it had not been cleaned after previous guests. Additionally, there was some type of splattered residue on the bathroom door.
Due to the overall lack of cleanliness and sanitation, I felt extremely uncomfortable and chose to leave early.
What made the situation worse was the response from the front desk. When I reported the issues, instead of offering an apology or attempting to resolve the situation, I was told to contact the manager on Monday and “maybe” I could receive a discount. That response was dismissive and frankly insulting given the condition of the room.
This experience fell far below basic hospitality standards. Cleanliness should never be optional."
