"Property is very old. Our room was completely lopsided so wouldn’t be good for someone with mobility issues. Needs a bit of spruce up as the photos don’t show the property’s current condition. Carpets need replacing and flooring in bathroom had cracked tiles. Very quiet though and couldn’t hear the noisy pubs around which were playing loud music with noisy shouting in the gardens. "Excellent 10 out of 10. Our 3 day Xmas period stay with our dog was from arrival absolutely superb. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful; the room was warm, comfortably and clean. The food throughout our stay was excellent with a menu to suit everyone and the Xmas lunch was fantastic. This is definitely a place to revisit."

"An excellent stay at The Poplars in Poppys lodge. Amanda was a great host and so easy to communicate with. The Poplars is in a lovely spot with countryside right on the doorstep. The lodge had everything we needed and beds were very comfy. Lovely and clean. Will definitely be back if in this part of Yorkshire again. "
