"We had a 3 night stay in the Talbot Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We asked for a fridge for our room to put cold drinks in and when we came back it was there plugged in for us. The staff are truly exceptional. The breakfast was excellent with such a variety on offer. We had dinner too and the roast beef was wonderful. Great location for visiting Clonmel with a bus stop outside and only 10 minutes into town for €1.50 each. We would highly recommend it for a great stay....

"Booked a king room with a balcony which promised “Spectacular views of Gardens/River Suir or Comeragh Mountains”. Our room principally had a view of a tree and the corn field behind it. The room was a compact and the balcony lacked privacy from the adjoining rooms or the car park below. There was an irregular buzzing noise throughout the night so we had little rest. There is little in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, so plan on using the hotel facilities or drive into town in the evening."

"Overall, we had a very good stay. The location is very convenient, especially for getting around, while the rooms were pleasantly quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. The breakfast booking was also a nice surprise in terms of value, although it could perhaps have been communicated a little more clearly that the full à la carte breakfast menu was included, as this was not entirely obvious to us at first. "Wonderful staff, very helpful, clean room, superb and sumptuous breakfast, onsite parking, very fast internet. Unfortunately, with an ambient temperature of less than 14 Deg C in the area, and as there was no central heating or availability of a space room heater, the whole night was very cold for us and ended up with a sore throat, despite two layers of blanket over the quilt. It may be normal for locals, but for visitors from warmer part of the world, it`s very uncomfortable."

"AC broke on the first hour there. Asked for a different room and was full and told to check tomorrow. Called five times to get the AC fixed and was told each time it would be. The next day I was told they would try fixing it again instead of moving me. Supposedly tried calling me later in the night for a switch. I tried calling reception twice on separate times with no answer. Checked out finally. Spent two days sweltering. Worst experience in my 5 days around Ireland so far."

"It was good for the price. But to check in you have to call a number and wait. It doesn’t tell you that and the number is on the door so you can’t call early. Simeon from another location comes to let you in. Breakfast is do it yourself continental, not amazing. We are at The Pantry just a few places down, amazing. The lady that checked us in was nice. Room was small but worked. Bed slanted towards head so needed up sleeping opposite direction."
