"A top range property which had had a lot of thought put in to it but the while the under floor heating could be turned down it could not be put completely off and we were far to hot on occasion.
It did feel a little impersonal and not to welcoming as the key was in the property and we had no contact at all with the owner or family

"The property is perfect for staying.
Large space compare to the price, Worm inside, Wide kitchen, everything is good.
But otherwise WiFi signal is kind of weak so it's small minus point. Since they are not stated "WiFi" on the ammenities, may be most of customers expect strong WiFi during their stays."

"This charming hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk crossing the footpath bridge over the River Avon to The Royal Shakespeare Company Theater, Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare’s birthplace, local restaurants, shopping and things to see. Beautiful area! My room was modest yet very clean & comfortable, the front desk team was courteous, and the breakfast included with my stay was a nice surprise (basic options of coffee/tea/baked goods/yogurt/cereals and fruit) and I enjoyed the delicious egg scramble for an extra cost.
The Bear is a cozy downstairs pub adjacent to the lobby and serves traditional English pub food- I had an acceptable serving of fish and chips with mushy peas and a drink before heading out to see a play at The RSC!
(There is also a fine dining restaurant, Bistrot Pierre, adjacent to the lobby I did not eat at, however, I heard good reviews in town from others about it).
I recommend this lovely, quiet, and well maintained property and plan to come back!
The photo of Ferris wheel is the view from my room. Others about town …"
"The second time we have stayed. We booked because of it's close proximity to the NEC for a weekend event. The staff are excellent. Always welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. It makes a big impact on the stay and is the reason we have returned.
There is a big car park with free parking.
The communal areas are kept very clean. So too are the bedrooms.
Unfortunately the hotel does require some TLC. There was peeling wallpaper in the bedroom and the fixtures in the bathroom were tarnished and quite outdated. The shower is not suitable for anyone above 5ft6! You have to crouch to get underneath it. There is no aircon in the rooms and the windows do not open further than a few inches (due to safety locks), which restricts air flow in the room. Not ideal when we visited at one of the hottest times of the year. There was a desk fan in the wardrobe, which we used overnight. It was better than nothing, but obviously not ideal. Rooms are spacious and the beds are super king (2 singles together), which were very comfortable. Tea/coffee/biscuits and bottled water are provided in the room and replenished daily. The breakfast is buffet style. Vast selection, with some things available in addition on request. Staff constantly monitor food levels and ensure things are available for guests. Cleaning is continuous and it's the tidiest breakfast buffet I've ever been to! Have not used bar/restaurant, so cannot comment.
Overall it's a great place. Would be excellent if updated."
"Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken and there was no one on site to take a look at it. As there was a fan in the room, we assume the air con wasn’t working.
We had a good welcome at reception. We were less impressed by there being no bar snacks/crisps at the bar on a Saturday night. The service was slow but they did apologise. The food in the dining room was very average. The pool was great. For the £214 we paid for the night (bedroom only) and it being part of the MacDonald group, we did expect better. It was a very convenient location."
