"Loved the location. Was very pleasant setting. Slept well in a Tudor style room from the 1500’s!"

"The room was compact but had all the usual requirements needed for a comfortable short stay. The usual TV and coffee and tea facilities were provided with a good size modern en-suite shower room. The owner was very friendly taking a personal pride in ensuring a generous cooked breakfast was provided on top of the variety of cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit plus fruit juices available from the breakfast bar. Had a couple of minor issues in our room that the helpful staff fixed up right away. Couldn't ask for more. Comfy bed and hearty breakfast. Good value all round"

At check-in, I wasn’t shown to my room and was simply pointed in the general direction. When I subsequently discovered an issue with the room and raised it, I was made to feel as though I was inconveniencing staff by bringing it to their attention. To their credit, the issue was eventually resolved, but the initial response left a poor...
