1. De La Poste

Ash-Sharq

"De La Poste is a good hotel at a fantastic price. The staff are lovely, they serve a good breakfast, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the shower has plenty of hot water. This was our second time staying at the hotel and I would stay again. Sure, the advertised wifi isn’t available but that is a small inconvenience. With all that has happened in the last 6 years, it is a small miracle that independent, family hotels still exist in Egypt. "

"Checked in and got to my room on the fourth floor which the whole floor in desperate needs of renovations but my room was not ready and filthy, went back down and requested a different room and this time was the third floor and was not ready and in terrible condition and that when I asked the front desk helper to get up and take me to the wright room and make sure its ready, the breakfast buffet is ok and runs by amateurs and no supervision, the hotel caters to local sport teams 21 and younger...

"The website is not clear, only military personnel are allowed (if only military personnel are allowed, there is no need to sell the room on this website). It is 20 kilometers away from the city. After waiting, military personnel will come out to explain (and the military is poor in English). On-site refunds are not allowed. I hope that Expedia will clean up such behaviors that waste customer time and energy."

16. SeaVille Beach Hotel by Elite Hotels & Resorts

Ataqah

"This is a beautiful, newly built hotel. We opted for the half-board package and found a wide variety of excellent food choices. The room itself was both spacious and very comfortable. My only critique is that the beach could be kept a bit cleaner. There are small pebbles along the shoreline, so I highly recommend bringing water shoes. If you love long beach walks, there is a great, continuous strip that lets you walk right past neighboring hotels."
