"Definitely not a 4 start hotel. More like a 2 or 3 star. It's a revamped motel. Room amenities were decent (had a mini fridge) and there was a pool. The room itself was a little worn but at least it was for the most part clean. Traveled w/ kids. Not a lot of space but made it work. Area was decent short drive (~15 mins) to downtown Santa Barbara. So if you don't want to pay downtown prices for a hotel, I would definitely stay at Leta again, but I would not pay more than $300/night."

"I paid for full ocean view king room and when I checked in I was disappointed because it looked like partial ocean view not full, and the staff mentioned since it was booked via Expedia they weren’t able to select a specific room. All of the full ocean view rooms were booked.the staff was friendly and professional, They showed me other alternatives but was satisfactory. This room was expensive and had I not booked via Expedia maybe they could’ve accommodated better. Is there anything Expedia can do to make it up? Should I not have booked via Expedia."

"Man this place is awesome!!!! Perfect place for couples to unwind. Very sexy! Food is awesome staff is awesome and waitstaff was over the top. Can’t wait to see what the new owners do w the place."

"The room Was VERY outdated for a 400$+/night room. Grout In The bathroom was brown and gross and the tub covering was peeling. The bike rentals were a nice touch but could use some maintenance. Squeaky brakes and the kids bike could raise or lower because it was so rusted. The pool was a nice area. We had to check out at noon and played by the pool and used the pool Bathroom that had a shower in it but the hotel doesn’t offer travel sized shampoo / conditioner bottles only the stuff in the room. It was located across the street from the beach, but a good mile walk towards the end of State Street. Parking was also another 42$ night which is ridiculous."

"Overall a great experience staying at The Milo. Great location, great ambience, friendly staff, clean rooms etc. There are two things that could have been better: 1. Mattresses- very old and soft, n bouncy springs. 2. Window shades/blinds - these were almost sheer and couldn’t keep the lights out at all at night. The room was quite bright (from string lights in the lawns), even after pulling the shades down and even covering them with an extra bed sheet, which made it difficult for me to fall and stay asleep. Not a problem if you sleep with a night light on, but for me, it was definitely an inconvenience."
