"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! "If you come to tokyo for your vacation, you should consider check out this onsen.they have a free shuttle bus from shinjuku every day its about 4-5hrs rides, not to mention they have a very special onsen water.... "

"Good location central to the Shiga Kogen ski fields. Down a driveway and across the road to the lifts. Excellent service, the team were exceptional. Food was good and the lounge area around the fireplace was a great spot to relax after a long day. The hotel itself like many in the area is in need of an update but was perfect for us."
