This property was very clean. Location was very close to the train station and international airport terminal. Guest should know that there is no one on duty before 10am. We needed to call a taxi and no one to help as we were from the states and did not have service. This was the only down fall but overall it was excellent

Room had obviously been remodeled recently and it was great! Also, you can come and go from the accomodation without having to go through the bistro/ bar. Very convenient location directly across from train station and close to variety of food outlets!

I thought a pub hotel would be loud & also the train station, but it was great, quiet, comfortable and convenient. I’d definitely recommend The General Gordon.

The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. There was a balcony with a view and it was easy walking distance from a lot of facilities including a major train station. Staff were helpful, and there is a restaurant on site. Parking is limited, but there are options available that don't mean moving your car too often. It is very close to the airport, which is convenient, but noisy. We slept through it beautifully though.

There is no one at check-in counter, no bell or no phone to catch the staff. We just needed to wait until someone notice. If you don’t have enough staff, you should put something which I can reach to the staff. Room was clean and nice tidy. Good point to having a choice of pillows. But there is no door for the bathroom…..

Room was right above the train station intersection and under the SYD flightpath. Room was so quiet. Maybe one or two planes could mutely be heard. Security was always wandering the facilities. Close to train station and walking distance to Marrickville. Staff was very accommodating. Thanks to the whole staff. I'll be back. Chris

My concern is that in the morning you put your key into the drop box but can not renter the hotel because the doors are locked. We forgot something in our room but couldn’t retrieve it. We also didn’t see a front desk just bars as we entered but were taken care of to check in. Room was clean and updated. Bed comfortable and very nice bathroom and towels.

The room was not the layout of what I had booked. Felt like a run of house small economy room rather than a deluxe queen, noting the bathroom was tiny obscure shaped wedged into the corner, and no shower door meant water was sprayed onto the toilet. Really disappointed noting there are no pictures of this room configuration, so it was not expected. The other reviews were deceiving, I won't stay here again.
