"This was our 3rd visit to the Pergola. Love the location away from the main road and the view from the hotel across to the church and Gozo in the background is amazing. We had breakfast included and the choice was excellent. The hotel is part of a group called G3 and we have eaten at several of their restaurants and the standard is also excellent. Won’t be our last visit either."

"Peaceful and scenic location (15-20 mins from main towns by taxi), good beach that wasn't crowded in June, very family friendly. The room/suite was very well sized with a well equipped kitchen. The long balcony was very welcome, especially to enjoy the live evening musical performances. Breakfast buffet was excellent - gluten free offerings for coeliacs, as well as a separately prepared/cooked fry up on request (no sausages though!). Well stocked store on site along with two good restaurants....

The hotel is old, some cracks in walls and terraces, the many elevators are a maze, not all of them worked. We needed to take stairs to the elevators, or take an elevator to change to another elevator. Take maintenance staff starts work early, they work hard, but they also woke us up after 8:30am to fix an...

"Stayed in the family room. Good size with everything you need. Lovely shower. My only complaint was that the mattresses weren’t great. All four of us never really had a great night’s sleep. Loved the Sky pool. Bar the mattresses, really enjoyed our stay."

"Ein kleines, feines Hotel, mit super Lage direkt am Meer, super nettem, hilfsbereiten, zuvorkommendem Personal. Unser Zimmer hatte Klimaanlage, was die Nächte ganz angenehm gemacht hat. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag gründlich gereinigt, mit allem, was dazu gehört. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht überladen aber es ist für jedem was dabei. "Ta Cenc has lots of charm but while some of the rooms have been newly renovated others remain dated. We appreciate the charm of the hotel but time to speed up the renovations."

"The hotel was clean and the room was spacious which I appreciated. However, it would have made a world of a difference to me if they provided and not charged for hotel slippers. These should be complimentary in a 4-star hotel. One other improvement point would be if they provided bottles of water as well with the room, given Maltese water is too salty to drink. These are low-cost amenities that would have made this stay 5 stars."

"Zimmer war ansprechend groß und sauber. Personal etwas destruktive, aber freundlich. Viele Kleinigkeiten sind einfach alt und kaputt. Das Badezimmer ist zu klein und mit einem nicht so wirklich sauberen Duschvorhang. Beim Fernsehprogramm fehlt mindestens ein Sender auf deutsch. Das Frühstück ist furchtbar und langweilig. Das Ambiente im Restaurant und davor im Außenbereich ist nicht so toll. Gäste gehen lieber woanders hin essen und trinken. Der Whirlpool auf dem Dach ist zu klein und niemand...

"Hotel was great. Breakfast was amazing, highly recommend that. Staff was very helpful as well, offering suggestions for activities. This is a more quitet part of the island, so not really within walking distance of much, but the ubers & taxis were reasonably priced around 20 to 25 euro would get you in to Valetta."
