Wonderful experience and stay.

Amazing location and building. Welcoming staff who always greeted with a smile and warm approach. Good English and just all around an amazing stay and experience. Great outdoor Onsen for use in the evening and the lounge having drinks available to grab regularly. Could not fault them and cannot recommend the Ryokan highly enough.

Really nice small hotel with friendly service, including a tasty Japanese or Western breakfast (alternating each day), less than 10 min. walk from the station. A private onsen bath (reservable for half an hour of use for each room every morning and evening) as a real nice bonus.

Very nice ryokan. From the check in to the check out an amazing experience. They are very kind and helpful. Easy to communicate in English. The man who helped us with the check in was really nice and he treated us very well when we told him we were in our honeymoon giving us a special gift. Thank you very much for that!

Beautiful garden and rooms with very traditional Japanese style. The outdoor hot spring bath is great especially on a snowy winter day, wonderful experience. The common area serves such breakfast room, lounge throughout the day. It can get very crowded during breakfast time even guest signing up for half-hour slot. But it is a very beautiful room with the traditional garden view. One thing I wish the hotel has is a spare toilet in the lobby because each guest room only has one and with a family of 3 or more, there maybe 2 people need to use the toilet the same time.

Wonderful stay at Ichinomatsu! We had the room with the garden view, spacious, comfortable beds (the windows to the garden let in a little light at night, if you're a light sleeper. Nothing an eye mask can't fix.) They provide kimonos, we used them to access the private onsen, you can book a morning and evening time slot, no bathing suit but you're alone. There's a shower within the space, water is hot, excellent after a long day of walking. 10min walk from station, not within the main city centre but easily accessible and quiet at night. Access to shared space, kitchen and garden. Coffee/tea available 24hrs and very good. Breakfast was a large traditional bento box with miso soup. Would stay here again, the staff was very kind.

Ichinomatsu Japanese Modern Hotel is in a gard location and not far from the train station,easy Walk around to the restaurants. The front desk lady (Miyuki) is super nice, kind and helpful.( She make the visitor's life easier) we also enjoy the comfortable ，beautiful traditional Japanese room with the pervert bathtub and the outside hot springs bathtub. We definitely will return to Ichinomatsu Japanese Modern Hotel for our next visit.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms and gardens. Lovely yukata to try on and use during stay. Very clean. Free coffee and teas in a very pleasant lounge room. A 10 min walk to town. Rooms including bathroom a little on smaller side. Overall a great experience.
