"Good Free Breakfast, beautiful property and grounds, spacious rooms, even though this is an older motor lodge it was very clean and such a breathe of fresh air from the indoor stale hotels. We had a back door to unload and a front patio to sit and enjoy the beautiful Taos weather."

"I am not sure if it was just the two rooms we booked, but our rooms were old, needed repairs and not very clean. Our bathtub had packing tape holding together tile on the side. The carpet was very old and needed a deep clean. The sleeper couch looked like it was an original from the opening of the hotel."

"Great old hotel with a whole lot of character in a spectacular location. That said, it is an old hotel so expectations should be adjusted. You may see water stains on the ceiling, doors may squeak, bathroom vanities are non-existent, and walls are thin. It could stand some renovation but, regardless, we always enjoy our stays here."

"The property is very dated, dark and depressing. There is no grass or yard around the pool area, and you had to go through a colony of gophers to get to the pool. The breakfast was good, but the area again was dark, hot and grease smelling. Never again!"

"We notice at the pool area was being used by non-registered guests, whom we're being disruptive and chaotic forcing us to leave the pool area. The TV in the front room didn't work. We were told that it was going to be looked at the next day which it never was. There were old cigarette butts left in the back patio room and the carpet was not very clean. We will not be staying here again"

"Breakfast staff was delightful...helpful in planning our day/sights to see; front desk guy was less than helpful...he did help with luggage up stairs...no smiles; generally we were disappointed...we were advised of no elevator and need to climb stairs...usually not an issue, however we expected ADA compliant hand rails on the stairs and there were none; initial parking required climbing the equivalent of two stories to get to reservation desk also without handrails; our room photo seemed far...
